WCPS homeless coordinator, Dana Pentoney, gives students hope for future
“The district’s homeless coordinator for the past four years, Dana Pentoney is on call 24/7 year round. From coordinating between in-transition families and a myriad of resources to making sure students can get to and from school no matter where they are staying, the Clear Spring resident always has someone to help.
‘She will go beyond what is reasonable to assist them to receive services, to let them know that they are loved and wanted in school and in this community,’ Home and Hospital Coordinator Emily Jones said. ‘There is no measure for her value for what she does for families.'”
